It Takes The Village

It takes the village.
I like to build the infrastructure.

I am JT Aaron, the engineer behind It Takes The Village. I build AI systems, make sense of sustainability data, and design decision tools that turn complexity into something people can actually act on.

The builder

Make the tradeoffs visible. Make the data honest. Make it actionable.

I have led from a combat engineer platoon to the staff of a two-star general overseeing a $9B construction portfolio across the Middle East and Central Asia.

Now, inside a $9B company, I build a sustainability program from the ground up and carry it through the third-party audits that prove it holds up. The constant across all of it: leadership applied to real constraints, budgets, stakeholders, deadlines, and the judgment calls in between.

Three and a half years in Germany taught me what infrastructure looks like when it works, and that the difference usually comes down to information. When the data is honest and legible, better decisions follow. It Takes The Village is that conviction, built.

What I Like to Build

A·01

Automation & Applied AI

Human-in-the-loop automation that puts AI to work on real operations. I design the workflows, guardrails, and handoffs that make it dependable, and keep a person in command where judgment counts.

A·02

Sustainability Data

Emissions accounting, reporting, and the data plumbing that turns sustainability claims into something auditable. Built to hold up at portfolio scale.

A·03

Information Design

Dashboards, reports, and decision tools that make complex data legible to the people who act on it, from the field to the boardroom.
